German Field Kitchen Scenery
During WWII, the soldiers of the Wehrmacht at the front consumed largely the same rations, irrespective of their rank, based around bread made from wheat and rye, and a nutritious stew that included meat (usually sausage) and potatoes. This was served by a field kitchen, which usually consisted of a front limber with space for the driver and storage for ingredients and equipment, plus a trailer with a soup copper or kettle, but could also operate with either the limber or the trailer.
